Project Scope: A National Fleet Standardisation

BGIS approached VQuip with a challenge: develop and roll out a national fleet fitout solution that could be standardised across different departments, while still meeting the unique requirements of each use case.

The project involved two core vehicle platforms:

  • Ford Ranger Utes
  • All-New Ford Transit Custom Vans (2024+)

The goal was not just to fit out these vehicles—but to design, prototype, manufacture, and deploy smart, consistent, and compliant vehicle builds at scale.

VQuip’s Solution: A One-Stop Fitout Partner

As a one-stop commercial vehicle fitout partner, VQuip was able to deliver a seamless end-to-end solution:

1. Consultation & Standardisation

Working closely with the BGIS team, VQuip mapped out the needs of various departments and translated them into standardised build templates. This ensured consistency in safety, storage, and equipment access—no matter the region or business unit.

2. Design & Prototyping for New Models

The 2024+ Ford Transit Custom was a new entrant to the market, requiring bespoke solutions. VQuip’s in-house engineering and prototyping team developed:

  • Custom shelving systems
  • Flooring
  • Window grills
  • Electrical harnesses
  • Towbars
  • And other key accessories

3. Manufacture & National Rollout

With design finalised, VQuip manufactured the fitout components and managed national installation through its network of approved fitment partners. The process was tightly managed via VQuip’s scheduling and QA systems, giving BGIS full visibility of the rollout progress.

The Results: 300+ Vehicles Delivered Nationwide

1. VQuip designed, manufactured and rolled out 300+ Ford Rangers and Transit Customs to sites across Australia in under 12 months.

2. All vehicles were fitted out to an approved, standardised specification.

3. Reduced lead times through a production line rollout, efficient coordination and in-house manufacturing.

Why BGIS Chose VQuip

BGIS selected VQuip because of its ability to act as a true one-stop solution provider—offering design, manufacturing, and nationwide deployment under one roof. By partnering with VQuip, BGIS avoided the need to coordinate with multiple suppliers or third-party installers, saving time and ensuring quality from day one.

Conclusion

The BGIS rollout demonstrates VQuip’s capacity to deliver fleet-wide solutions that scale—even for highly specialised applications. With in-house engineering, flexible manufacturing, and national rollout capability, VQuip continues to support Australia’s leading organisations with vehicles that are ready to work from day one.
