Outback Tyres Case Study

BACK ON TRACK

Background
Outback Tyres is a family-owned business that provides valuable tyre installation, repairs and delivery services in country Queensland. Their existing delivery vehicles were small and had limited space, and weren’t quite sufficient for the vast distances which needed to be travelled in the outback. Due to the limited capacity, Outback Tyres had to choose carefully about which tools they wanted to have on board for any given job otherwise this would prove costly in both time and money if the tools required for some installations were not on board. These limitations provided the basis for the brief for VQuip to design a new delivery vehicle for Outback Tyres.

Solution
VQuip and Outback Tyres worked together through the fitout process in order to improve their capacity to undertake mobile repairs, as well as carry a range of spare tyres and extra products. The new delivery vehicle maintains functionality whilst also providing increased room for servicing and storage. The van has the ability to lift vehicles, change and inflate tyres and has room to carry a variety of spares. VQuip worked to optimise the use of space in the van: it is compact, whilst also being able to carry as much equipment as needed, which is important when travelling long distances in the country. Everything is contained within the van and away from the elements, which then leads to a consistently high level of service and installation quality.
