As their fleet continues to grow, Bloom Gardens has partnered with VQuip to develop practical, efficient vehicle fitouts that support their day-to-day operations.
The Challenge
Having previously fitted out a fleet of Renault Master vans for Bloom Gardens, VQuip was engaged to deliver a similar fitout solution in a new Ford Transit LWB van.
The objective was to create a highly organised mobile workspace capable of securely storing landscaping equipment, hand tools and consumables, while ensuring technicians could quickly access the equipment they need on site.
Key requirements included:
- Dedicated storage for hand mowers and landscaping equipment
- Secure storage for whipper snippers and hedge trimmers
- Flexible restraint points for bulky equipment and green waste bags
- Ladder storage without compromising cargo space
The Solution
Drawing on the success of Bloom Gardens’ existing Renault Master fleet fitouts, VQuip developed a practical and proven layout tailored to the Ford Transit platform.
Hand Mower & Tool Storage Frame
A dedicated storage frame provides secure transportation of hand mowers and frequently used landscaping tools, helping to keep equipment organised and protected during transit.
Full-Height Shelving
Heavy-duty full-height shelving maximises storage capacity for consumables, spare parts, hand tools and day-to-day equipment, ensuring everything has a designated place.
Full-Height Mesh Wall Panels
The fitout incorporates full-height mesh wall panels with integrated storage for whipper snippers and hedge trimmers. The mesh construction also provides versatile tie-down points for securing larger equipment and bags of green waste.
Internal Ladder Storage
A custom ceiling-mounted ladder rack allows ladders to be stored overhead, preserving valuable floor space while keeping equipment secure and easily accessible.
The Result
The completed fitout transforms the Ford Transit into a highly functional mobile workshop and warehouse for Bloom Gardens’ landscaping operations.
By providing dedicated storage locations for tools and equipment, the fitout helps improve organisation, reduce equipment damage and improve efficiency on site. The enclosed van environment also protects equipment from weather exposure while providing a secure storage solution between jobs.
Importantly, the fitout maintains consistency with Bloom Gardens’ existing vehicle fleet, helping technicians move between vehicles with familiarity and confidence while supporting ongoing fleet growth.
