Tyco
VQuip recently completed a fleet rollout program for Tyco, delivering a series of Renault Trafic LWB service vehicles designed to support the maintenance and servicing of traffic management infrastructure and security networks.
Operating in critical infrastructure environments requires technicians to have immediate access to specialised equipment, reliable onboard power systems, secure storage and safe transport solutions. Through a structured design and rollout process, VQuip worked closely with Tyco to develop a fitout solution that met these operational requirements while supporting efficient vehicle deployment.
The Challenge
Tyco required a vehicle fitout solution capable of supporting technicians working across traffic signal systems, roadside infrastructure and security network maintenance.
The vehicles needed to safely transport a broad range of tools, equipment and consumables while providing reliable power for field operations. Consistency across the fleet was also critical to ensure technicians could move between vehicles with minimal disruption and maintain a standardised working environment.
In addition to the physical fitout, Tyco required visibility of build progress throughout the rollout to assist with deployment planning and vehicle scheduling.

The Solution
VQuip guided Tyco through its proven vehicle fitout design process, working collaboratively with stakeholders to understand operational workflows, equipment requirements and future fleet objectives.
The resulting Renault Trafic LWB fitout package included:
- Heavy-duty shelving systems for organised equipment storage
- VQuip trundle drawer systems for secure storage of tools and components
- Dedicated gas bottle storage
- A high-specification dual battery and inverter system to support field-based electrical equipment
- Roof rack systems for transporting longer materials and equipment
- A pivoting roof-mounted arrow board to improve visibility and safety when working in roadside environments
- A range of integrated accessories designed to support technician productivity and vehicle organisation
The final design delivered a practical mobile workspace that maximised storage capacity while maintaining safe access to equipment throughout the working day.
Managing the Rollout
As part of the project, Tyco was provided with access to VHub, VQuip’s digital fleet rollout and project management platform.
Through VHub, Tyco was able to:
- Monitor vehicle build progress in real time
- Track production milestones throughout the rollout
- Plan vehicle deployment schedules with greater confidence
- Access completed digital quality assurance documentation
- Review photographic records of completed installations
This visibility helped ensure clear communication throughout the build process while providing confidence that vehicles were being delivered in accordance with agreed specifications.

The Outcome
The completed fleet provides Tyco technicians with a highly organised, purpose-built mobile workspace designed to support the maintenance of critical traffic management and security infrastructure.
By combining VQuip’s structured design methodology, proven fitout products and digital project visibility through VHub, the rollout was delivered with a strong focus on consistency, quality and operational readiness.
For organisations managing fleet deployment programs, the project demonstrates how a collaborative design process and transparent rollout management can help reduce risk, improve deployment planning and deliver vehicles that are ready to perform from day one.
